Who she is: The former Princess of Themyscira, home of the Amazons, Wonder Woman grew up ignorant of what life was like in "man's world" (as the Amazons call it), but when an alien invasion threatened the safety of the world, she decided to strap on her gear and fight for the future of humanity, which brought her into contact with Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter/J'Onn J'Onzz. Finding "man's world" both repulsive in some ways and fascinating in others, Wonder Woman joined the League even though she may not have known exactly what she was getting herself into. Though a rookie, her inexperience was balanced out by her super-strength/stamina, flight and lifetime of training in the way of the Amazon warrior. In addition to her powers of strength and flight, Wonder Woman holds the magic lasso of truth, which is unbreakable and forces anyone held by it to tell the truth (though I don't think I've seen it used in that way yet) and sports nifty, unbreakable bracelets on her wrists that are good for defense against death rays and what not. Sadly Wonder Woman was exiled from Themyscira after she brought Superman, Batman, Flash and Martian Manhunter down to help save her people from Felix Faust and Ares, which broke her mother Queen Hippolyta's heart and the island's law that men never set foot on the island (her mother is free to leave the island to see Wonder Woman though if she wishes). She's of warm nature and great compassion, but don't get her mad; you wouldn't like her when she's mad. She appears to have taken a liking to ice mochas and might have a thing for Batman.
