Who he is: It's not official, but many would assume that Superman is the ring-leader of the Justice League, which he would probably deny if you brought it up to him. The last survivor of Krypton, Superman gained the ability of flight, super strength/stamina, heat vision, X-ray vision, super hearing, and super breath under Earth's yellow sun due to his different molecular structure (his powers fade if he's under a red son, as was the case with Krypton). Armed with his powers and the firm belief in the mid-west morality his foster parents raised him with, Superman went to Metropolis, got a job as a reporter for the Daily Planet and made an enemy out of evil businessman Lex Luthor. He initially distrusted Batman, but watching Batman in action while in pursuit of the Joker convinced him that Batman was a good egg, even though Superman didn't personally agree with his methods. The two worked together a few more times after that and later they formed the Justice League (though it was really more Superman's idea than Batman's). Often dismissed as a big boy scout, Superman is modest, good-natured and refuses to be intimidated by anyone or anything.
