Who he is: The sardonic Scarlet Speedster, Wally West gained a connection to the Speed Force after a chemical accident involving lightning. A similar accident befell his uncle, the late Barry Allen, who was the Flash before him and mentored him in the ways of the hero (note that this information from the comic books may be changed for the show, if they ever decide to delve further into the Flash's character). Apparently the youngest member of the group (it would help if I knew how old Hawkgirl is), Flash takes the whole concept of saving the world/universe very lightly and often fires off off kilter remarks at the speed of light; he tends to run into situations before thinking things through, which annoys his team-mates, including the normally even-keeled Superman (who worked with Flash once prior to the forming of the League). He also has an eye for beautiful women. But beneath his smart-ass exterior, the Flash has a big heart and is just as loyal to the League as the next guy. Flash also has a super-fast metabolism, so he is constantly hungry.
